Here at NeighborhoodScout, we boast wall to wall coverage of the United States - meaning that we have comprehensive information about every neighborhood in America. Sometimes, certain neighborhoods do not technically belong to any specific city, so the neighborhood exists independently of any city. Despite these neighborhoods not existing within the legal limits of a city, we do not want to disregard them! Individuals still live, shop, and go to school in these neighborhoods, and NeighborhoodScout wants to give you the information you want about these neighborhoods. To make sure all neighborhoods are represented, if a neighborhood does not fall within the legal boundaries of a city, we include it on the map of a city to which we associate that neighborhood.
Why do some neighborhoods shown on the city map fall outside the city boundary?
